Chemometrics

Chemometry or chemometrics describes the combination of modern spectroscopic and spectrometric analytics with intelligent, multi-variate data analysis for the monitoring of manufacturing processes and the analysis of materials. This form of data analysis enables users to quickly capture, understand and optimize complex technical systems. Nowadays, analysis and measurement systems are increasingly used for comprehensive so-called "profiling” or “fingerprinting" analyses. Such chemical fingerprints can describe a process or even a special material much more accurately than individual data because they contain all measurable information. As high amounts of data may be generated from these measurements, they cannot be interpreted without intelligent data storage and data mining tools. Due to these advantages, chemoinformatic evaluation approaches based on intelligent algorithms are increasingly used today as an innovative approach to the extraction, analysis and use of relevant data.
