Materials science and battery research

Curriculum Vitae

David Henriques joined the Institute of Applied Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences in 2015. Since 2020, he heads the "NanoMatFutur" junior research group "Kems4Bats: Investigation of gas-heat evolution for future electromobility battery materials using KEMS and calorimetry" at the newly founded "Institute of Materials Science and Engineering".
Before joining Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, he was intensively involved in materials science for energy engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, as well as at the Energy Engineering Research Laboratory in Yokosuka (Japan).
David Henriques received his PhD from the Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany, where his work focused on thermodynamic properties of new electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries.
